World War II, The Ritchie Boys, Diversity and Why it Matters
Dr. Frey is a Professor of History, Director for the Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies, and Co-Chair, Diversity & Inclusion Studies Minor at the United States Military Academy, West Point.
Dr. Frey will speak about diversity in the US Military during the Second World War, particularly as it pertained to the military intelligence and groups of Jewish refugees who trained as battlefield interrogators, translators, and specialists in Order of Battle at Camp Ritchie. He will also discuss why diversity matters to the military in the present and to future officers, explaining why the Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies exists and how it informs the education of the Army's developing leaders.
